I'm an educator with PASSION! My name is Corrie Dobis and I am currently a teacher in the Wake County Public School System. I completed my undergraduate coursework at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Elementary (K-6) & Special Education (K-12) in May of 2015. After I completed my degree, I moved to Raleigh to start my teaching career. The first four years of my career were spent teaching third grade students. Becoming a teacher was always a dream of mine and I continuously looked for ways that I could invigorate my instruction during my first few years in the classroom. I decided that applying to North Carolina State University to complete my masters degree was my next educational step in order to learn more for my students. Being apart of the New Literacies & Global Learning cohort has opened my eyes to the power of effective literacy instruction and what it can do for our students!
